I never know exactly how it will turn out and that is the excitement of working with this digital medium. I love the simplicity and elegance of this image. It speaks more silently than many over the top complex fractal designs but commands more meditation.
Welcome to my world of Fractal Art. In a nutshell, fractals are images which are self-perpetuating. The overall pattern spawns its own shape ad infinitum. Fractals are found in nature (think leaf veins, branching tree limbs, a rose spiraling inward), as well as in the abstract domain. A limitless variety of designs, colors, and shapes are possible. The software I use is aptly called “Chaotica.” I start with randomly generated chaotic shapes and patterns, and then form them into a pleasing design, mimicking the perfection of the evolutionary processes within the natural world.
